Jul 23 2008Ohhhh Yeah: The 'Lakeview Terrace' Poster

lakeview-terrace-poster.jpg

In what seems like a made-for-TV movie based on a true story, Samuel L. Jackson stars as a cop living inside the peaceful community of Lakeview Terrace. But here's the kicker: he hates interracial couples! So you can guess what he does when a couple with both black and white elements move to the neighborhood. I don't actually know, so seriously, guess. Solely based on the poster, I'm saying he drives past their house with his sunglasses lowered, blasting Yello's "Oh Yeah" at unreasonable volumes.

I bet he fills there house with snakes and then gets really tired fo those mother fu**in snakes!

I like Samuel L Jackson, but he's batting about a career .125 for good movies.

Why is his arm white? Hell the whole poster is photoshopped worse than an Iranian missile.

I actually would like to watch this. I'm a woman of colour and in a relationship with a white man. You rarely see any movies about interracial relationships, so...

I hate cops.

@5 That's because Jungle Fever said it all and nobody fucking cared.

There seems to be some mistake. That is a white woman who has had her head replaced with photoshop.

I really hate these people talking about the celebrities or rich men joined the famous sugar daddy and sugar baby service ★★★www.S u g a r d a d d y C o n n e c t. c o m★★★. Could you people please have a break??

I'm the police, you have to do what I say!

Wow, leng. Subtle.

You have to give Sam Jackson credit for being in movies that deal with difficult issues like this. Black Snake Moan looked awful, too, but it turned out great.

Oh... he looks badass.

Geez he is a light brother who is in the light. Its just a reflection. Anyways I am in mix about this movie being a child of interracial. Dad black mom spanish. Sooooo I look kinda white but not. I don't know what to think on this. Maybe wait for the results or just rent it.

Hey, can I make a movie about a white cop who feels the same way or would that be racist?

@14: It would be racist.

Anyway, this is the first thing I've encountered in which I agree with Samuel Jackson (namely, I don't care for interracial relationships either). Unfortunately, I'm sure he gets all reformed by the end of the movie to accept the popular norm like is required in America, sooo...
