Jul 2 2008Huey Lewis's 'Pineapple Express' Theme Sounds Like Every Huey Lewis Song (i.e. AMAZING)

Lakeshore Records' MySpace is now hosting the rhyme-heavy, saxophone-laden title track to Pineapple Express, written and performed by Huey Lewis and a little backing band by the name of THE NEWS. Heard of 'em? It's worth a listen if only to hear Huey Lewis say "the chronic" (which he rhymes with "on it").

FRIST! ...link is busted.

No it's not. That song sucks

Dude, if you bag on Huey Lewis I will cut you.

Well, I guess he found a new drug!

This song is pretty amazing. If' you're a fan of Huey Lewis, or just a fan of good music, you'll really dig it.

It's the Power of Pineapple Express Love! Yeah, way to be original, Huey. I will give him this: as basic as his songs sound, they're surprisingly difficult to karaoke. Of course, heavy drinking might be a factor there too...

I saw this movie yesterday at an advance screening. It's pretty dull. Thank god for sneaking alcohol into cinemas.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.

Lol at the American Psycho.

Huey is great.

#1 - you are a douche for being excited about being first.
