Jul 15 2008'HSM 3' Trailer! (If You Don't Know What That Means, Try Not To Find Out)

I won't pretend to understand the prolonged relevance of not one but several of Disney Channel's saccharine programs, but it's somehow reality, and here's more evidence of that: the trailer for High School Musical 3, which for some reason will be in theaters instead of basic cable.

I totally can't believe the end of the trailer shows the basketball trophy. Now I know the part where the basketball court turns into American Beauty and Zac Efron, through song, asks Vanessa Hudgens for the strength to "turn it up; game on" must work. Talk about a spoiler.

Dear God! It's like a post apocalyptic vision. With more lipgloss.

man, disney really thinks that it's awesome to take a mediocre idea that did well and just absolutely DRAIN it of it's worth. lame.

First. I Love It.

America needs some extremely dewussifying TV and movies pronto. Shows that teach kids violence is the end all be all solution to every problem and that the only thing spontaneously breaking into song and dance will get you is a swift kick to the balls. That's the America I remember.

I don't understand the appeal of this shit coaster.

damn right mac!

Oh my god, I think I just went through puberty again!

Speaking of pretty pretty Zac Efron, any updates on the Me and Orson Welles movie? Like, has Orson Welles risen from the grave and punched the casting director in the face for daring to mention his name within ten sentences of Zac Efron?

High School Music 4 : The Freshman FOUR-teen

god.

I promise the first High School Musical is actually really really good. I would recommend seeing it, if for no other reason than it'll be easier to make fun of the new one. It really is Grease for this generation. I went in reluctantly, and left a fan. And, (*cough*) I'm 30 years old and do not have children. Please rent it? I'd love to know what you think.
