It's based on a teen series of novels... Never read the books myself, but hooray for John C. Reilly! I hope this movie doesn't suck as bad as the picture leads me to believe.

I have read two of the books and they are really a lot of fun. I hope they do a good job with this first one. It's a scary story of what happens to a boy who wishes too hard to become a Vampire but his best friend gets caught instead and is forced into an eternal life as a slave vampire to the traveling cirque. Excellent story and a great series. I want to eventually read them all.

Forgive me, but did you say John C. Reilly as a vampire?? John C. Reilly? I thought vampires were supposed to be alluring, attractive, seductive. John C. Reilly? Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha. That whirring sound you hear is Lugosi spinning in his grave.
