Jun 18 2008Thomas Jane as Jonah Hex, the Cowboy Two-Face?

Film School Rejects has received what is either an early test shot, concept art, or something for people to comment is a fan photoshop of Thomas Jane as DC comics Western anti-hero Jonah Hex. No names are yet attached to the project in any official capacity, but DC and Warner reportedly hope to get to work on this by mid-2009, just in time to ride the fading wake of The Dark Knight's half-disgusting-face popularity.

Heh, my first thought on seeing that picture was "I don't remember the episode where Mal was attacked by acid-throwing space monkeys."

This has to be a fake. Thomas Jane is a little to neat and pretty to play Jonah Hex. That and the only good movie he's made is Deep Blue Sea.

Thomas Jane's best role - hands down - was when he played himself while pretending to be a homeless guy on Arrested Development.

"But... I'm Tom Jane!"

Seriously, am I the only one who had a hard time telling these two actors apart before this?

@ Elle Driver, I fully agree with you.

"I just want my kids back!!"

It's great! I totally agree that he was when he played himself while pretending to be a homeless guy on Arrested Development. I would love to share with my cowgirls and cowboys friends met on horsematch.com. They may be surprised.

Why does Thomas Jane as Jonah Hex look like Steve Guttenberg as Jonah Hex

Fuck that, make a Preacher movie already you DC pansy asses.

Mark Neveldine, the director/co-writer tied to the project, says the image is a fake. The script's only just been completed and no casting or photo shoots have been done.

It's fake. Someone photoshoped part of Evil Ash's (Army of Darkness for those of you who don't know) face onto Jane's face. It's not a bad job, but easily recognisable.

@Eville1, yes, yes, a thousand times yes! That would make my freakin' year.

@Josh

Stander was a pretty solid film that starred Jane, though pretty much unnoticed here in the US. I recommend watching it.
