Jun 11 2008New 'Where the Wild Things Are' Photo
More from the New York Licensing Expo, compliments of MTV: this time, a glimpse at Spike Jonze's adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are. Everything I've seen from this looks exactly like it should (i.e., awesome), so all the talk of studio-mandated reshoots is destroying my insides. Can't they just give me this one decent adaptation of a childhood love, and when the Smurfs movie ends up being a strange, tongue-in-cheek update where the Smurfs move to L.A. to participate in a reality show (I have no doubt this will be the plot), I'll look the other way?

Just because it WAS a childs book (a creepy one too) doesn't mean it NEEDS to cater to younger kids.....

Sometimes reshoots work (Usually not but sometimes) The studio ordered reshoots on the Bourne Identity, and from what I hear the reshoots saved the film.
