Jun 16 2008'Incredible Hulk' Made Money Last Weekend
1. The Incredible Hulk - Looks like the Hulk wasn't the only thing that was big and green this weekend, and I'm not talking envy! Greenbacks! American dollars! Cinema theatre profits to the tune of $54.5 million! Sorry, Kermit, looks like it is easy being green! (You should read this as if you're an announcer from the '20s.)
2. Kung Fu Panda - The formula of celebrity vocal chords + anodyne, computer-generated comedy continues to prove itself, earning another $34.3 million
3. The Happening - More like the Not Happening! Assuming we consider "happening" to be making more money than other movies. ($30.5 million)
4. You Don't Mess with the Zohan - A 57% drop to $16.4 million as moviegoers decide to wait for the unrated Zohaniest edition, with new, never-before-heard accents.
5. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - $13.5 million, but it turns out all the ticket buyers were aliens!

I thought is was very well done. Much better than the first Hulk movie. If Iron Man is a 10 I'm gonna give Hulk about an 8.5.
and FIRST

They didn't have sound newsreels in the 20s.

They didn't have the Hulk movie in the 20's, either. But they did have radio announcers. :)
Saw Hulk last night, and I gotta agree with Jonny D. I did thnkit was weird..

I did think it was weird that they gave us no information about what happened to to Abomination after Hulk nearly strangled him to death. Did they sedate him & lock him up? Use the "antidote" on him and lock him up? Euthanize him and send him back to th U.K. in in a wooden box? (yeah right).
The forshadowing about The Leader, WWII Super Soldiers (Cap), Tony Stark approaching General Ross about The Avengers, oh, I mean "the team".

Saw Hulk last night, and I gotta agree with Jonny D. that it was just a little less awesome than Iron Man. But not by much.

And it would have been nice to find out what drinking Banner's blood did to Stan Lee. Did it kill him? Hulk him out? Turn him into She-Hulk?
The character forshadowing with Doctor Leonard Samson ( "Doc" Samson), Samuel Sterns (The Leader), WWII Super Soldiers (Cap), Tony Stark approaching General Ross about "the team" (Avengers) were all done well.
Hulk was in the original Avengers, but word on the street is they're talking about him being the villian in the Avengers movie. If the Marvel Movie Universe has the Avengers still coming together, and Hulk is off the grid, why exactly is Stark coming to Ross? Does he want his assistance in recruiting Hulk, or is he making an offer to capture him for the government when the Avengers eventually (ahem) assemble ?

Sorry about the double post. I hit the comment key before I was finished.

@ #4 - I thought Stark might have been talking to him about a different problem Ross had. Maybe the scientist guy? Or maybe Abomination escaped or something.
Either way, I'm excited for the avengers and I agree with #1, This movie was pretty good. Way better than the first try imho, although I miss the comic book-type scene transitions.

Hulk was pretty badass; I think we can all agree. Also, I think we can all agree that M. Night Shyama-lama-ding-dong needs to be struck by lightning. Twice. In the nuts.
I don't know if I've ever seen a major release film that bad. Did anybody else just laugh uncontrollably at most of the really somber parts of the movie? Yeah, I kinda thought so.

Loved Kung Fu Panda, looking forward to the Hulk.

this new Incredible Hulk is a lot more fun than the first one with Eric Bana; as usual Ed Norton has gravitated to a "split personality" role...
