Jun 13 2008First Look at Jason's 'Friday the 13th' Mask (Hint: It's a Hockey Mask!)
In honor of today's date being Friday mixed with a 13th, MTV has posted an exclusive video from the set of the Friday the 13th remake no one wants. Why is this notable? Because it supposedly provides the first look at Jason Voorhees' mask! I couldn't get the clip to work, so I'll just have to imagine that it's some sort of old sporting equipment that covers the face, slightly dirtied to give the "gritty: like it's real!" sense the director probably intends. Hopefully you ("you" being someone interested in a Michael Bay-produced remake of Friday the 13th) have better luck playing it.

Oh, come on. I thought this was supposed to be a remake. Jason wasn't even in Friday the 13th (except briefly as a deformed child). And he didn't even get the mask until Friday the 13th Part III. What liberties they're taking. Such liberties.

Yeah... which Friday the 13th are they remaking? Jason - the killer - wasn't even in the first one.
So... is this a total re-imagining..? Not a remake of any particular one... just a total re-imagining of Jason, altogether..?

The producer, Andrew, says that it's a "re-imagining" of the the first three movies.. Jason is a child in it and his mom is the killer, this is seen as a flashback, he then wears a burlap sack and then finds the mask at the end.

Bull Shit!! So the guy playing Jason looks deformed but dose not have the body to play him. And I agree with every one else, Jason was not in the first movie. I think they are just gonna save us the time and just combine all Ten movies together. That was we don't have to suffer the sequals.

What are they going to do when they have remade all the movies that were ripoffs to begin with? I know, animate them. I envision a future where no NEW movies or stories are created, and we simply animate over old black and white films. Casablanca would be better acted by cartoon characters anyway. I still don't know why they haven't remade Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. When you are to the point of remaking slasher flicks because you are too stupid to come up with your own formulaic script for one, it's time for Hollywood to become the slutty victim and get its neck slit.

They did remake "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes". It was the 11 Oclock news last night!
Not sure how I feel about them combining the first three movies. I could see the first two - though the mommy twist in the first and second would go out the window.
Oh well...someone text me when the Chopping Mall remake comes out.
