May 30 2008The Coens' 'Burn After Reading' Trailer Must be Watched

burn-after-reading-trailer.jpg

Who would have thought you could combine the talents of George Clooney and Brad Pitt yet not focus on how suave and charming they are? The Coen Brothers, that's who. And they've added John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, and J.K. Simmons into the dark spy-comedy Burn After Reading. After watching the trailer, knowing that I have to wait until September to see the full product, I'm going to hate toiling through summer more than the elderly. Note: the trailer is R-rated for language and the feeling of intense pleasure it gives you that is normally reserved for adults. Watch it below the cut or by clicking around iTunes.

looks awesome - can't wait for the latest and greatest cohen movie!

Kinda makes me sad about the crappy movies coming up in the next couple months. Although, it is pleasant to have a movie to look forward to....

Wow, this looks ace. Can't wait!

I endorse this movie.
Namely for the presence of David "Sledge Hammer" Rasche. And, okay, Brad Pitt does some alright acting. I guess.

I fucking love the Coens. They are the only ones who have made me stand George Clooney's handsome smugness in the past. I bet they're doing it again, and, just to show off, added Brad Pitt into the mix. I can't wait till it comes out!

We'll interface with the FBI on the dead body...Trust Me....I know what I'm doing.

looks goooooooooood. thank u coen brothers for making some of the best movies out of hollywood today.

Yesmen!

This looks great.

No Country sucked, glad to see the Bros back in form.

that looks....umm.... great!
better then the, uhh, freaky movie with the bob-hair cut guy (who was also freaky)

THANK YOU - someone who also thought No Country sucked!

Bit odd to go from No Counry for Old Men to this...however...it does look insanely (and unexpectedly) fun XD So long away though...ah well, Dark Knight to meet us half way I guess :p

Oooh I can't wait for The Dark Knight either... are those the only two good movies coming out? jesus...

I'm totally coen to see this!

plays drums *ba-da- DUM*

harharhar

i cant wait!!!

Nice use of Elbow's "Grounds for Divorce." We'll see how the movie turns out though.

I was just thinking the words "What would Sledge Hammer do?" I'm happy to report that the acre of nature reserve outside of our offices is now being converted into mixed-use property. Part price-gouging parking lot, part T.G.I. Friday's. All profit.

As for the movie, I'm sitting in line punching Star Wars fan kid in the back of the head and stealing his "I Saw It First" T-Shirt.

LOVE IT! BRAD PITT WILL ALWAYS BE SEXY AS HELL!

P.S. NC4OM was good

I bet Brad is really like that at home.

"Hey Angie, babe? Babe, come in here."

"Yeah baby, what's... ahhh, damn it, the smell! Fuck, Brad!"

"Ha ha. I had burritos!" (Laughs like DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape?)

I was already hooked on this movie when I first heared about Clooney Working with the Coehns again. Now I want to watch it even more.

Actually, following No Country up with this kind of does make sense when you remember how they followed up Fargo (which won them their first oscar) with The Big Lebowski, thus providing us with the greatest protagonist in cinematic history--The Dude

Looks great!

(Except one problem - John Malkovich is in it... Oh well, I'll have to get over my Malkovichmisia...)
