May 14 2008OMG is Beast in 'X-Men Origins: Magneto'!?

Huge news about the Magneto origin movie... there might be another character from the X-Men universe in it! Crazy, right? The story goes like this: Someone from Latino Review was visiting Hellboy II's creature effects shop when they noticed a photo of a furry, blue gentleman with a tail. He was all like, "What's that?" And they were all like, "That's young Beast for the upcoming Magneto." And then the internet was all like, "WTF Beast doesn't have a tail! Maybe it's Nightcrawler! Is Beast in this? Everything is relevant!", thus temporarily distracting the internet until a new video of someone doing something funny could be created.

Personally, while I couldn't care less if Beast is in Magneto, I hope this doesn't mean they totally redesigned the character. I really liked the ridiculous Beethoven-meets-My Pet Monster Doll look Kelsey Grammer had.

It's funny even though I really enjoyed these movies...that still shot of Grammer in full makeup just looks really silly...like 'Transylvania 6-5000' silly.

It's almost like the writers at anticlown had the same exact childhood as me. Who the fuck mentions My Pet Monster anymore? You guys continue to be the shit.

A young Nightcrawler would make more sense when you consider his origins.
Also now I'm wondering if Wanda and Pietro Maximoff are gonna show up since they've gonna make an Avenger's movie...

#1 - Cheers for that. I've got the naff theme song for that squalid movie stuck in my head. No, really, you're ace.

The people from Marvel needs to have a task force setup to go around and slap the shit out of these idiot writers and directors that even THINK about screwing up the back ground of any of their characters.

Maybe we can get Aaron (of Street Figher: The Legend of Chun-Li blog fame) to go undercover to report on this Beast/Nightcrawler conundrum.
He's got just the ultra-hip, cutting-edge, can-do attitude we need to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Unless they've already signed him on to pen the Point Break: Indigo script.....

Yeah, mess with the background of any semi-major Marvel character. It's not like fans treat this like it's a pseudo-bible or anything. Who cares if you completely mess with their history just because a producer felt like it?

I had a "My-Pet-Monster" as a kid too. Used to scare the hell out of me every night when I went to bed... until I was like13... OK 18... alright 27. I've got to move out of my parents' basement....
