May 14 2008New 'Incredible Hulk' Trailer Emerges from Earth's Crust
When the new Hulk movie was announced, it was emphasized that this was a reboot of the franchise. Forget the Ang Lee Hulk; this is all new, by someone less respected than Ang Lee. So why is this new trailer stressing that this is the return of the "most powerful superhero on Earth," as if it's a sequel? And why is it so heavily-implied that Hulk is born of the Earth's crust? Is there a new, stupider origin story I don't know about? If I hadn't already bought the green body paint, I've be strongly reconsidering camping outside a theater in-costume for this.

I thought I read somewhere that Norton and the director did loosely consider this a sequel of sorts to Ang Lee's movie, but a massive stylistic shift, so it could be also used to reboot the whole franchise? I think they should have got Amy Winehouse to play the Abomination though. Or at least his uglier sister.

Maybe the "return" is from the comic or TV show...? I'm reaching.
William Hurt seems completely unenthusiastic and dead-eyed, but that just might be William Hurt. Also, what's with the Tim Roth tag? Ain't no Tim Roth in that trailer that I saw!

i thought they might hav improved the CGI last minute, but did they FUCK.
instead they added the line "the most powerful superhero on the planet" (or was that there before?) DOESNT MATTER ANYWAY. if you want comic geeks to go and see ur already lame ass film DO NOT ADD THOSE SORT OF UNPROVABLE lines to ur shitty trailers. will just give more hate on forums etc.
mark my words - one of the worst movies of '08 - biggest waste of money for sure!!

I did catch and like the hint of the original TV theme music at the last second of the trailer.

"DO NOT ADD THOSE SORT OF UNPROVABLE lines to ur shitty trailers."
Would you prefer that they added a more believable tag-line to a movie about a man that can transform into a big green giant?
