May 2 2008New 'Hancock' Trailer, Hancock
One of the largest oversights in comic book history is that, despite writers and artists creating some of the most memorable, enduring characters in pop culture, no one ever bothered making a superhero whose power was acting exactly like Will Smith. We can hardly blame them. Who could have anticipated the success of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, or the limitless potential of its young star? But sadly, it has meant that Will Smith has never been granted the opportunity to act in a blockbuster superhero movie, and get all sassy up in it. Writer Vincent Ngo and director Peter Berg have corrected the blunder with Hancock, in which Smith plays a down-and-out superhero with the powers of flight, super-strength, super-invulnerability, and super-acting-like-Will Smith. He may also have the power to make people say his name a ridiculous number of times, if this new trailer is any indication.

I liked Will Smith.
Until I realized he was a Scientologist and he passed out free Scientology postcards to the nearest clinic to all the people that worked on I Am Legend.

I expected nothing from this trailer, it was a hell of alot better than I expected. If i have spare time and money burning a hole in my pocket I may go and see it. Incidentally is the en masse creaming on AICN over Iron Man warranted ? The trailer seemed pretty childish and uninspired to me and the combination of them giving a pass to anything with one of their darlings in (see Downey jnr for details) and their overwhelming approval of Transformers (the shittest film I have seen in years) has made me suspicious.
Anyone ?

Will Smith may or may not be a Scientologist, but his wife is. For those of you that are married, you know what that means. He also has been passing out free passes for "stress tests" at his latest movie wraps. (They're free anyway, and pretty lame).
I don't know... would a Christian pass out free meetings with Mormons as a gift? Is there that big of a difference?

Is this site full of immature children? Who cares if he is or isn't a scientologist (for the record, he isn't). From the teaser trailers I saw earlier this year I thought this was going to be another "wild, wild west" for Will Smith. However, this trailers has me excited again. I think it's a nice take on the superhero genre. Everyone loves Will Smith, and if they say they don't they are trying to be "different, to be cool." Which is just sad.
My question is this about the movie-is there a super villain? or is it just a "man vs man" superhero movie?

OMG... this movie looks like an blockbuster hit for Mr. Smith! I can't wait to see this movie, I'm going to be the first in line for this movie for sure!
