May 8 2008First Impressions: Josh Brolin as 'W'

w-josh-brolin.jpg

The only thing stranger than watching Josh Brolin do a two-hour impression of Will Ferrell doing an impression of George W. Bush (or possibly of an old, nondescript man toiling through a lemon) will be watching Jason Sudeikis doing an impression of Josh Brolin's impression for the SNL parody. Why not just get the guy from Harold and Kumar, and stop pretending the line between impression and acting-tribute is so distinct?

The EW cover that also includes Elizabeth Banks as Laura Bush-impression is below the cut.

i'm sorry but he looks more like John Kerry than W. Bush

jeeez, he DOES look like John Kerry.

Should have gone with Will Forte.

He doesn't look dumb enough.

Actually, he looks more like Kerry and Heston (RIP) had a baby.

is she going to be a slut in this movie, too?

Laura Bush aint no Liz Banks. This looks stupid as hell.

Looks a bit like John Kerry met some seriously gray hair and a 2nd rate photoshopper...o.o Laura's just.....well just bad.:p

Can't be Shrub, there isn't any white powder around his nostrils...

Are they finally making progress on the long-awaited John Laroquette bio-pic?

Really? There is no in Hollywood remotely closer to George W. Bush's age (and appearance)? They're almost 20 years apart. And Elizabeth Banks and Laura Bush are about 30 years apart. And Banks doesn't have those watery googly eyes like Laura either. What the fuck! No Country for Old Men made me kind of like Josh Brolin for the first time, but this looks pretty awful. I fucking hate Oliver Stone!

Will Farrell is a better choice. Bush is a freaking joke to begin with.

Andy!!! You GOONIE!!!!!

He doesn't look anything like W! Stone is out to lunch on this. i can;t wait to see it bomb!

I can see it... He's just a little more chiseled and a little less constipated.

If he pulled a Tropic Thunder he'd look like a white-haired Obama.

(In the cover, not so much the first)
