When a live-action adaptation of the fight-centric anime Dragonball was announced, there were some concerns. Was there enough hair product on real, non-anime Earth to support Goku's ridiculous coiffure? Would fans get too upset if the character's orange gi were replaced with a t-shirt with some Japanese characters on it, showing an Abercrombie-level understanding of Asian culture? Could computers still render simple glowing orbs? Make your own judgments.

I actually used to watch Dragon Ball. As far as I remember Goku was supposed to be between 4 and 5 during the series . . . and not look like a douche. I actually want this guy to get his ass kicked. By agreeing to take this roll and not stopping the director when he has the chance, this guy is single handedly raping my childhood and having the rest of the cast bukake on my face. . .figuratively speaking

Im not too much of a DB fan though lots of my friends love the old anime. But yeah...I agree with Count...this is CRAP and my friends are gonna shit themselves then throw it at the screen.

towards the end, he is in his teens fighting piccolo.. which i think is when the movie takes place.

I think it looks good, maybe not great, but I'm not going to talk pure shit about it. And besides, this is just a rough scan of the real one, the really nice one is still yet to come. Hopefully sometime between tomorrow and Thursday we'll be getting the High Quality American version.

Usually I keep an open mind when it comes to movies based on cartoons/comics I tell everyone to calm down and just wait to see what happens... but this DB movie so far looks like a BAD Power Rangers ripoff. I feel sorry for the hardcore DB fans.

wtf this looks really lame i used to watch dragonball all the time when i was little i also watched the other series and I have seen around half the movies, but come on this guy does not look like goku at all and he is not ripped goku was a fucking beast come on little gohon in the series is bigger then this fuck. they better make it better or i will come to directors house and shit in his fucking mouth.

oh good lord...is that guy really playing Goku?! what is wrong with the world?! >:O hes too scrawny, and where is the movie starting in the series, eh? I used to watch the show alllll the time. I watched Goku go from a little kid to dying...multiple times! He never looked like a chunky haired punk with a glowy spikey ball in the middle of his hands! THATS NO ORB!
