May 9 2008'Clone Wars' Trailer: Star Wars LIKE YOU'VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE
I've seen a stylized animated version of The Clone Wars; I've seen countless 3-D animated sequences in the Star Wars films. So I really have no idea what this trailer is referencing when it says, "Prepare to see Star Wars like you've never seen it before." How is this like I've never seen it before? That it lazily merges two ways I've already seen it before? That watching it is a joyless exercise in stretching my childhood nostalgia to its limits? That any mild excitement it creates is only a pavlovian response to hearing the hum of a lightsaber? None of that is a new way to experience Star Wars. In fact, that's sort of become the standard.

What everyone needs right about now is to watch the original, theatrical versions of episodes 4-6 that came out on DVD last year.
Say, SexyIWatchStuffGuy, if you're not doing anything later I've got them all right here . . .

The Clone Wars series was far better than the prequels and I think this film will continue that tradition of awesome animated star wars.

It's sad when Shrek has better graphics than Lucasfilms. Honestly. When we've come to expect so much from the Star Wars legacy, this feels substandard. I've seen better graphics in the video game.
The problem is the reduction of realism. Southpark works because it has gotten better over the years and keeps it's level of realism in check. I expected the Star Wars animation to be on level with the Final Fantasy movie or Beowulf.
Shame on you, George. Spend millions on refurbishing episodes 4-6 and then release the Saturday morning version of a new chapter. Shame on you!

@ 12.Silas
I believe is was an intentional thing to have them stylized that way in keeping with how the cartoon looked..
