Apr 22 2008'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Trailer Leaked
In a blunder that will surely birth many a nerdy racial joke, the Polish division of Warner Bros. has let leak the new trailer to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, meant to be screened before Speed Racer. It looks surprisingly entertaining--probably because it doesn't show any of the forced romance or stilted comedy--so hurry up and watch the lightsaber-filled contraband before "the man" finds out we've got it. Thanks to DANY for the tip.

So...are the Palestinians the Jedi or the Sith?
2. Mark - April 22, 2008 5:29 PM
Yeah, sorry about that. I apparently clicked one of the "related videos" and didn't notice before linking, so it was the wrong video for a minute. But aside from that, you still raise a valid question.

Looks like a steaming pile of shight.

Looks so childish. Why for fux sake? Oh ya, to sell more toys. Thanks Lucas. How much was it for your soul again?

Tyler, The Palestinians are the Jedi.

I like it. You people are obviously not Star Wars fans, just jerks who like to make bad comments about everything new. The animation is so much better than the previous version shown like Magquettes. I will watch this when it comes to TV and hopefully then to DVD.

Prepare to see starwars like you've never seen it before: completely computer generated.
It's like Lucas got frustrated with the last three and realized the actor's were really only there for placeholders anyway.

Yess!!! Off to Tattoine again to rescue jabba's son, wtf?!?! Wut ever.

What is it with the hard geometric shapes tacked on everywhere? It looks ridiculous and is very distracting.
Speaking of distracting:
Give me a break. The "Palestinians" are the jawas.
14. Dracula Jones - April 23, 2008 10:44 AM
Not to be a total nerd about it, but Anakin would never return to Tattooine after his mother's death. That's why they feel safe sending Luke and Obi-wan to hide there. Maybe he doesn't actually go, but that sure looks like Jabba's palace.
15. not to correct you but - April 23, 2008 12:27 PM
Dracula Jones, you are a total nerd. Don't worry...that's hot.
16. Thunderosa - April 23, 2008 1:26 PM
Does anyone else find it weird that Jabba's son is a normal human being? Shouldn't he look a little more Huttian? Just wondering...
17. Kate - April 23, 2008 1:33 PM
wait...this is a movie?! I thought it was a video game. yikes.
18. Stuey - April 23, 2008 1:52 PM
Yeah I mean whats the point in watching a Leggo movie. PASSSS
19. Biri - April 23, 2008 2:58 PM
Ok, I AM a total nerd, so I'm going to address some questions here:
#13- It's a continuation of the "edgy" style of Genndy Tartakovsk, who did the animated stuff for Lucasfilm between Ep. 2 and 3, just computer generated now, because in case you hadn't noticed, Lucas apparently likes CGI :P
#12 and 14- They didn't take Luke to Tatooine just because it was safe. Mainly it was because he had family there. He's returning to Tat because he has to. The Galactic Republic struck a deal with Jabba to rescue his kidnapped son in exchange for use of Tat as a crucial travel route during the war.
#16- He's not a normal human being, he looks like a mini Jabba. I don't even think they showed him in that trailer, but I could be wrong. They've only leaked one shot of him so far, and it's of the Lego toy that will coincide with the movie.
The rest of the nay sayers, I'll say the same thing to you that I say to everyone else that I've had to listen to since Ep. 1. Don't watch it if you don't like it. Ep. 1, there was an excuse, but anyone that watched anything after Ep. 1 and felt like they had the right to whine can kindly shut up. You know what you're going to see, so don't watch it if you don't like it.

22. Biri - April 24, 2008 1:31 AM
What can I say Ash? Heh, I know I'll probably get the typical nerd bashing in later posts, but I enjoy my hobbies and I'll hardly back down from beration at the hands of people on teh intarwebz.
23. BA_Baracus - April 24, 2008 10:49 AM
This flick looks like bantha fodder. Definitely not the droids I'm looking for...
24. Atomic Popcorn - April 25, 2008 12:56 PM
To bad they made them remove it :-(
25. Crappola - April 28, 2008 2:51 PM
What is it about remaining stuck in the past prequels? Jesus! Do something that continues the Luke Skywalker legacy. Why go into more detail that's not even that interesting to begin with. Do something that doesn't try to patch up the latest trilogies and make them more meaningful. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! Give us peace from these sub-par trilogy.

Looks like shit - like an extended cutscene from a video game I wouldn't want to play. A mishmash of original voices and new actors. Lame plot about rescuing Jabba the Hut's kidnapped son.
Utter shit.
And if that CGI was done by hundreds of artists by ILM, then the CG industry will be the next one lost by the USA to foreign companies who'll do it better and cheaper.
Looks like ILM is an old dead company run by boring old farts who don't know what the fuck they're doing.
