Apr 10 2008'Space Chimps' Trailer is Barely Survivable

Science has long-ago answered the question of if chimps can survive in space (yes!), but can the original space chimp's grandson also survive in space, and be voiced by Andy Samberg? The answer, again, is unfortunately a yes, as is seen in this trailer to Space Chimps. If the original experiment of sending chimps into orbit was to test man's ability to live in the harsh climate of space, surely this film's sole mission is to study man's ability to survive an atmosphere of pure mediocrity, with easily-entertained children serving as the willing test subjects.

The film also stars Patrick Warburton as (surprise!) the big oafish chimp, but sadly lacks any of my favorite screen chimps.

looks like just a bunch of slapstick jokes. pass.

Andy Samberg? I guess Steve Carell wasn't available. And Christ! Is there anything Warburton doesn't voice over these days?

If I remember right it's animated movie law that states any slightly retarded brutish character must be voiced by Patrick Warburton and any drill sergeant must be voiced by R. Lee Ermey

Although, I personally love R. Lee Ermey. No one could do that better.

So, Karl Pilkington wrote a screenplay?

Wow, that looks like it'll suck more than Paris Hilton in front of a video camera.

That looks beyond horrible. I can't believe that the people who make this disgusting garbage are rich and I'm not. Lord knows I deserve to be more than they do.

can we all agree to stop saying "that's gotta hurt" like it's some witty one-liner that anyone finds funny?

Lets not forget this is a kids movie, and as long as there is lots of screaming and slapstick comedy with people falling over (or chimps for that matter) then my two pre schoolers will love it and watch it again and again
