Apr 14 2008Old Tyme Radio Drama Usurps Harvey Dent Conference

Yesterday, someone going by only the cryptic name of "Giggleloop" informed me of a new development in the Dark Knight marketing campaign: a Harvey Dent press conference! Finally the fictional Batman character would be speaking to the public as if he were a real political figure! My excitement was palpable. Unfortunately, the entire event was unexpectedly interrupted and replaced by an old-timey radio show in which a hostage crisis is negotiated by the daring Gotham district attorney. It's no Amos & Andy (in that it's not dependent on horribly racist stereotypes), but you can hear the whole thing here.

download some english to your brain, retard.

I really liked the hostage situation thing :D I wonder if they could wiggle a way into having a televised press conference, or a little series of them, interrupting in prime time y'know? With 'Harvey Dent' and everything (which I realize would be expensive as hell, but at this point...just go for it :p)

"giggleloop" is a reference to the BBC show "Coupling." It's a term created by "Jeff"!!!

Oh hey, that was me! Result! :)

Glad you managed to find the audio on the net elsewhere, I realized too late that my Firefox plugin didn't get the entire stream, but rather the last 2 minutes of it and then static. Bogus.

Ha Ha, yeah I was having an early dinner with friends when all of a sudden I felt panic & realized I missed the "news conference". When I got home I checked & listed to the "event". Ya gotta admit that the viral marketing they're doing for this film has been a lot of fun & they are giving away some very nice collectibles. I can't wait till this movie hits the big screen!
