Apr 15 2008'Iron Man': Great Trailer, but a Feature Film?
Iron Man has been one of the most popular, most-viewed trailers of the last year, but will it be able to maintain its integrity and hardcore fan-base if Hollywood adapts the two-minute preview into a full-length feature film? The always witty Onion News Network weighs in on the issue...

well since I thought the trailer sucked I believe it will definitely live up to my expectations.

Is it just me, or has the Onion kind of gone downhill lately? It's like watching a bad Mad TV skit where they start with a "what if" premise and expand it to unnecessary and ridiculous levels. The above story would've been better served by a "News in Brief" article than a video production in my opinion.

You're not imagining it: the Onion has been sucking hard the last few years. I stopped reading their front "humor" page when they did a fake article about "a bus full of mentally retarded people" dying in a bus crash and "nobody caring". Unbelievably cruel and tasteless. They even stole and used a photo published online by my local paper, of a an actual guy who had lost his teeth because he couldn't afford dental coverage. They ended up replacing the image afterwards, after they were caught. REAL professional.
(Although admittedly, the AV Club is still an excellent read, as I'm guessing it's written by a different group of writers.)

Which trailer? They've released five or six and probably twenty pictures of Iron Man posed slightly different in each one. I thought they were releasing the movie a frame at a time.
But yeah, the Onion sucks.
