Apr 2 2008Guess That Movie Poster!
This is the poster to...
a. The new season of Criss Angel's Mindfreak.
b. An angsty teenage girl's collage scrapbook.
c. Your friend's proof that he's awesome at Photoshop, and should be designing your band's new album cover.
d. A matador's psychotic nightmare.
e. Whatever surreally colorful thing The Cell guy has dreamed up.
Answer under the cut!

The answer, of course, is e., single-named auteur Tarsem's newest Ebert-proclaimed masterpiece. And from the trailer, it actually looks pretty alright.

Yes, this is the gayest shit I've ever seen in my life. Psuedo intellectual, artsy, mind fucking that millions will pretend to love because they feel they are supposed to, yet haven't the first idea of what this movie is about, if anything.
I imagine this is the kind of thing Adam Sandler would come up with if he were a serious independent film producer and not a man obssessed with making movies about manchildren that lavish themselves in homosexual innuendo.

You took the words right out of my mouth, question-mark-guy above me. In other words, what he said. At first I thought this movie might a parody of all the pseudo-intellectual forced-artsy bullcrap out there, but apparently it's just another one. Bah...

I like that you have "guess the movie" you should do that more often.

I thought it was a movie about Salvador Dali paintings.

artsy pseudo-intellectual bullshit? come on, the only movies that you should apply phrases pertainent to the above one are movies such as garden state and that stain of a Beatles musical Across the Universe. This movie, however, reminds me of a mixture between Pan's Labyrinth and V for Vendetta, which are both fantastic movies. And as far as serious Adam Sanler Movies go, there is only one that I can think of, and it's Punch Drunk Love which doesn't remind me of this movie in any respect. Why don't you give it a chance before you utter off your over-analytical diatribe that pertains to a subject matter about which you haven't even seen?

I thought it was a Dali movie too. That would be cooler. He had a mustache and everything!

yes, he is very cool. And his movie is cooler. Many users on our POZ community " PositiveLoving.com" are discussing his new movie on a blog

This looks more like a cross between Zorro and... well, that's it.

This is why we can't have great movies anymore. Anyone who tries to create something visually interesting runs the risk of being called "Psuedo intellectual, artsy"
I have no idea if this is any good at all, but you certainly can't tell from the trailer. At least he's trying to do something interesting.

how is this pseudo intellectual? it seems mostly fairy tale, and it reminds me of a much brighter pan's labyrinth. since when did hating movies become so fuckin cool?

I wouldn't have guessed correctly, but "www.thefallthemovie.com" really gave it away. It's in the credits at the bottom, even on the one with the question mark.

it is The Adventures of Baron von Münchhausen in digital.

I've seen this movie. It's called 'The Fall'.
It's actually really kick ass. A sad story, but not intellectual artsy fartsy at all.
It's a standard story you've probably seen before, but awesome imagery, and really good acting.
I recommend seeing it in the theater if you can, I only saw it on DVD.
