Apr 9 2008Disney/Pixar Announces Plans for Next Four Years

Perfect for the obsessive-compulsive animation fan, Disney/Pixar has announced their animation slate for the next four years. Plan ahead now to make sure you catch the Limited Platinum Princess Edition Disney DVDs before they leave stores!

As expected it's a bit of a mixed bag, ranging from shaky high concept plots that will probably end up being decent (Newt: the last two remaining blue-footed newts on the planet have to mate--but they hate each other!), to dubious sequels (Toy Story 3, Cars 2), to retellings of classic fairy tales with more talking animals inserted (Rapunzel)

Sadly, there don't seem to be any second-rate straight-to-DVD movies that elaborate the world of a bygone supporting character in the hopes of cashing in on young girls' love of fairies. Wait, I'm sorry; I read that wrong. There are no less than four such films (Tinkerbell, Tinkerbell: North of Neverland, Tinkerbell: a Midsummer Storm, and Tinkerbell: A Winter Story)!

I guess THE INCREDIBLES was a one time thing. *single tear*

Cars 2. Really?

Really?

Jesus.

Seriously, what about another fucking Incredibles? I could give a shit about Cars 2 or Toy Story 3? Jerks.

Eh. If releasing a sequel every now and then means that they can do more adult-oriented/artsy stuff, more power to 'em.

I'm not the biggest fan of Cars, but hey, if the sequel sucks, no one will care. On the other hand, I wouldn't want 'em to ruin Nemo or Monsters Inc with one.

David's right on the money there- Cars 2 IS at that interracial dating club. I wish I was a friend of david- he's in the know about stuff and shit.
