Mar 20 2008Yet Another 'Get Smart' Poster
As the trend of the previous Get Smart posters forebode, the most recent incarnation appears to now be completely devoid of any comedy at all. Sure, the line "...and loving it" is a direct cribbing of one of Don Adams' famed catchphrases from the original 60's show, but when no one younger than an 80's Nickelodeon kid would get the reference, let alone find it funny, there may be a problem. And how can Steve Carell appear so unenthused as he holds the legendary shoe phone?! I begged my parents to order me one during every Nick-At-Nite commercial for it for years. What an ungrateful asshole.

There's something off about Anne Hathaway's shoes there....and why ARE the Get Smart posters so boring :s...oi.

Get Smart poster are boring because the movie will suck.
I realize in the '60s the idea of a mobile phone was radical and something you expected a spy to have. Plus, putting it in a shoe -- hilarious. But in 2008, I don't know.

It'd be cooler if Anne Hathaway's stiletto's were cellphone-capable. Or at least Wi-Fi.
And a second level of "showing their age" with the tagline is if anyone references "Dracula: Dead and Loving It" -- cribbed by Mel Brooks, (probably) from Mel Brooks.

With the advent of the cell phone, I'm surprised a secret agent would opt for a rotary shoe phone. Not very practical.

Why does Anne Hathaway look much older than she is here?

wow, someone messed up big time, these heads actually match the angles and sizes of the bodies - they could even actually be the bodies AND faces of carell and hathaway.
and, because obviously you were blindsided by those awesome computer screens (?) on the wall, i'll say it for you:
god, lens flares are so hot right now!

Dumb. Why wouldn't they update this with today's technology (eg, cellphones?). That retro crap isn't f*ing funny. Update the technology, add some CGI, and throw in some jokes. This movie could be funny AND up-to-date... it doesn't have to be one or the other. How much do these producers in Hollywood make to come up with this crap??
