Mar 26 2008'Plain Jane' Banks Playing Laura Bush in 'W'
The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Meet Dave and Meet Bill star Elizabeth Banks is in final talks to portray Laura Bush in W, wacko Oliver Stone's biopic of bumper sticker subject George W. Bush. Aside from my initial shock that "Meet" isn't in the title, I'm surprised and pleased Stone is going with normal, everyday people instead of trying to glam it up, Hollywood style. He could have easily gone with some typical, inappropriate "pretty girl" casting for the First Lady, but instead he's chosen just an average girl with flowing blonde hair, sharp, angular features, and a svelte young figure that, for whatever reason, looks amazing in a tight white tank-top. The actress will join the perfectly ordinary, not at all chiseled-featured, Josh Brolin (playing W.), who was somehow able to marry the beautiful Diane Lane despite his everyday, average-Joe looks.

CGI. Brolin and Banks are only doing voices.

Why they fuck are they making a Bio pic about george bush. Does anyone really give a fuck about 'Animal House 2: Whole Lotta Bush' that is basically gonna be what its like. That and all the elements we love of a steven segal film.

It makes me sad that people that I, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, would willingly have sex with (mostly Banks...), are playing the most repugnant and sexless couple in America. Very, very sad.

Ooh, I see BDS is running amok here in the comments already. Don't worry crazy people, Mr. Stone has cast the son-in-law of Barbra Streisand as Dubya. I'm sure they'll give you a performance to satisfy all your paranoid fantasies about Bush.
BDS = Bush Derangement Syndrome = where you blame the President for causing your acne and wrecking your last date because he's gots to be crazy to be worried about all the nice misunderstood Jihadis.

Thank you, LenS, I thought the comments would be 100% left-wing "open-minded" co-exist people who only want Republicans to die slow agonizing deaths.
Hadn't heard of BDS before, I'll have to start using that.

"are playing the most repugnant and sexless couple in America."
? The Clintons are in this?
Most people suffering from BDS don't remember the presidency of Jimmy "Malaise" Carter or Richard Milhouse Nixon because they're too young or too stoned. There have been, at best, a handful of decent presidents in American history and most of them lived long before anyone using the Internet was born.*
*FDR being one of the best AND the worst by virtue of electing himself King.

Oliver Stone is just keeping up the unspoken rule in Hollywood that Elizabeth Banks must suddenly be in every third movie that comes out for the next two years. I'm not complaining (she's purdy), but geez lady have a seat and get a cup of coffee once a year or so!
