I've already professed my unbridled enthusiasm for the Seth Rogen/James Franco action-buddy-stoner-comedy Pineapple Express, so I won't continue assaulting you with reasons this is one of the few summer films I have genuine expectations for. Suffice to say, there's a new trailer under the cut, and an official, finished version of the leaked R-rated one from last month.

I love the foot through the windshield. That made me laugh out loud.

YES!

Yup, this is gonna be amazing.

these dudes are innovative as hell with storylines.

Not normally my kind of movie but the foot in the windshield made me laugh to the point of tears.

ohmygod i'm so excited

Lame. Apatow is like the Robert Pollard of comedies. Everything he puts out can't be a hit.

Sorry, it doesn't look good. Cheech and Chong perfected stoner comedies. No reason for more.

Also, is Seth Rogan wearing out his welcome or is it just me? I hope he's saving his money. He's a comedic, modern day Swayze. Here today, gone tomorrow. Holla!

Scooby,

For the record, Cheech and Chong were never really all that funny anyway. (I even own a few of their flicks.) And as for Rogen wearing out his welcome-- I'm pretty sure this will only be his SECOND lead role in a major film. I know, there's more on the way, but really... it's just you. And possibly a few others.

That looks so funny. I mean seriously, it looks funny. I am at work and had to stifle the laughter. August 8 can not get here fast enough. Funny, funny, funny. Cool song playing throughout the trailer too.

i agree! funny funny funny. good song too - anyone know who it is?

song is Paper Planes by M.I.A. and the movie looks like gold.

"Thug life."

Holy Crap that trailer was hilarious!!! I laughed so hard at the foot thru the windshield that I passed out!!! Can't wait for this one dudes. Too bad it won't be ready by 4/20...
