OMFG. i honestly cant believe it.
as soon as i saw the poster i went 2 imdb 2 c if it was true, that theyr makin a incredibly stupid book *i shud kno, i've read the effing thing* into a even worse movie *which btw, is nothin like the book.. frm the vine 2 the damn characters hair.. and the mayans arent the bad guys as the movie proposes* i think the only thing thats right is the way they die and thier names
tis terribly sad and tragic that thing of a book is now a movie.

I can't really say I'm all that excited to see this. However, it is nice to see getting your short into Sundance and winning ammount to something. If you don't know, this film is being directed by Carter Smith, who won Sundance's Short Filmmaking Award a couple years ago with his film Bugcrush. It's a good film, and you can find it on YouTube with a simple search.
It at least gives a glimmer of hope that this may not be as 'typical' as the marketing is making it out to be.
