Feb 13 2008'The Mighty Boosh' Movie is Coming (But Probably Nowhere Near Me)
The surreal British comedy series The Mighty Boosh has a movie is in the works? Yes! (exclamation point here to denote actual excitement.)
Stars Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt have signed a deal with BBC Films to bring the cult series to the big screen. The show focuses on friends Vince Noir (Fielding) and Howard Moon (Barratt), who embark on a series of magical adventures.
The pair are currently working on a script for the movie, which is likely to begin filming early next year.
If you haven't watched this show, you probably should. And no using the fact that it's only aired in Britain and unavailable in the U.S. as an excuse. Haven't you heard of illegal downloading? Get with it, Luddites. You can start here.

despite the fact that when this show misses, it misses huge, this is awesome shit.
i *hope hope hope* this does something to get the genius of rich fulcher and matt berry further out in the world.
BONERS FOR EVERYONE!

The third series was fucking terrible hopefully the film will set it back on track. Matt Berry does deserve greater exposure, if he made it to Hollywood we could see if he would renege on his promise to "never play gay, not even for the big boys"

I saw this just once, on BBC America, but I know they've shown it other times. I couldn't tell if it was genius or crap... and I haven't seen it in the schedule since.

OMG, I love the boosh... Season 3 just came out this week on dvd. Too bad I have to fucking special order it to get the damn thing and have a dvd player that is region free. Yeah... I love the boosh but It will miss in a lot of places. They are fairly huge in the UK but outside I don't know. Deffinantly not near huge in the US. You either love it or hate it. But "Old gregg" has gotten some play on youtube.
They did play it on BBCA one run of just the first season. There have been 2 more sense then. You can catch the people, well the main people in it Noel and Julian on adult swim when they play Garth Merenghis Dark Place. Its a wacky show from I think channel 4 in the UK. I think thats what it was on. Anyway yeah check out the boosh, check out the IT crowd, Darkplace, Man to man with dean learner, and Snuff Box. Those are all things that the main group of people from the boosh have something or other to do with. Even if its just being a little cameo character.

Boosh is great, I hope they have some new songs for the movie. They've been skimping out on good songs lately.
10. Faye - February 14, 2008 2:01 PM
They used to show it on BBCAmerica late at night every so often.

"The third series was fucking terrible "??
What were you watching? Eels boy. Wriggling around inside yer. Exploring ya internal orifices.
Series 3 started to flag with original material, revisiting old characters but hey, why not. If it works, it works.
Check out Bollo (Ape of death), Electro (Spirit of Jazz) and Jungle (the Mod Foxes)
Mighty Boosh is awsome.

Boosh, Boosh, stronger than a moose! Don't lock your door or we'll come through your rooftop! Stop! Look around, take your mind off the floor, because the Boosh is loose and we're a li'l bit RAAAAAWWWWW!

I was watching the third series of the boosh, which was undoubtedly shit. Eels was terrible and a subpar song doesnt make up for that. Hah look all the old characters are back only this time less funny, Vince and Howard are unfunny parodies of themselves and everything is more crude than it needs to be. Ho fucking ho.
