Feb 15 2008Depp, Farrell, and Law Stepping Into 'Imaginarium'
After Heath Ledger's untimely death, there was some speculation as to who, if anyone, would take his place in Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. (Also, who's getting his apartment???) AICN claims to have the answer, and it's a surprisingly long list: Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell. According to the site, all three actors will play the character at different points in the film.
I wonder if they're doing this pro bono in honor of Ledger. If it's inflating the budget too much, Gilliam should know he could probably get Frank Caliendo to play fat versions of all four of them for a fraction of the cost.

Wow, that is a great bunch of actors; I'm sure they'll have no problem getting them all to star in the same film. I'm also looking forward to Terry Gilliam's time traveling space ship that dispenses grilled cheese sandwiches.

Probably would not have even looked twice at this movie until I saw Jude’s name on it…he’ll get me there every time…and more than once, too. But I love that Depp is in it, and am not pissed Farrell is in it, too. I think this makes it very intriguing, actually.

Who is getting his apartment? Just rude. I am all for a dead celeb joke, but Ledger's passing was actually tragic. If Britney dies, and we all see it coming, make a joke a month later. I mean, its still tasteless, but Ledger was a loss. With Britney its almost inevitable.
