Feb 8 2008AM Poster Post: 'Shutter' At How Terrible This Tagline Is

shutter-poster.jpg

From the executive producers of The Grudge and The Ring comes one of the worst taglines I've ever had the misfortune of reading. "The most terrifying images are the ones that are real"? Yeah, I guess that's true. I suppose real images usually are more terrifying than illusory ones. So your horror film is unique in that everything is real? No? Then what the hell are you talking about?

That's like saying "Pictures of ghosts are a lot scarier when they aren't badly faked with Photoshop".

"The colds that require the most Triaminic are the ones you're not faking to get out of work."

"The worst movies are the ones from people who don't know what the fuck they're doing."

So I can pick out some random Japanese horror flick and give it a mediocre screenplay treatment and make it rich in Hollywood? I'm packing my bags as we speak.

You would think the face would be cleverly made up of the collage. But no, just an overlay. Not even enough effort put into it to call it bad Photoshop.

OMG! I just noticed this! The pictures make a face! Scareeeeeeey shit I know!

I liked this when it was called SAY CHEESE AND DIE. Unoriginal motherfuckers.

#7: Not like that edition was original too, but I think the first time I've heard of this concept was on an old episode of The Twilight Zone.

makes as much sense as the grudge and the ring

It's actually a Thai film. And a terrifying one at that. The ending is just...I thought about if for days afterward.
One look at the trailer tells me they will not be able to pull this off. Hollywood directors are so ham-handed at sequels like this. Unfortunate.
Go see the original!

These photos haven't been edited, but the stories have.
