Jan 11 2008'Diary of the Dead', AKA, 'YouTube Zombies' Trailer
Besides confirming that George Romero and Stan Lee have fused into the same person, this trailer to Diary of the Dead does very little to inspire me to take the time for another romp in zombie town. Neither does the "diary" concept, which seems to be following the Cloverfield mentality of cashing in on the YouTube-headed popularity of shitty handheld recordings. The better movie surely rested in the tale of a teenage zombie coping with cute boys and how her parents don't get her, a story divulged as she lays on her brain-filled stomach, legs dangling playfully off the bed.

I saw this movie at the Toronto Film Fest last year and it is in no way like Blair Witch or Cloverfield seems to be in terms of cinematography. The flick was really well done and the concept of the protagonist shooting the film himself was executed perfectly... get excited, its 100 times better than Land of the Dead.

Im a sucker for zombie flicks but thats looked pretty horrid. Maybe a trailer revamp is in need here?

hey, iwatchstuff guy, stop being such a hater. George Romero makes some good movies, even when they're shitty. He managed to make three great films (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead) with no money and terrible actors, and one decent film (Land of the Dead) with John Leguizamo - a feat practically unheard of. Creepshow is also one of my favorites. I'm sure Diary of the Dead will be good, if not great. This trailer doesn't really show much, but it does interest me more than Cloverfield.

damn yeah hell oh yes im so psyched with a cherry on top. not really. to be fair all dead movies tend to suck now days..same yelling, same lame characters, same oh pan too far, use your imagination to make the scene more scary ..or..wow..its so disgusting its horror..yeah.
tere are good ideas out there..there has to be sometign that makes it work..try haing to nuke ciiteis and military units that actualy work together ..oh zombies in a swamp now thats golden. try readng some olschool rifts books..thats cool stuff.

There isn't any way this is copying Cloverfield, mainly because it takes so long to get a movie out and no one had even heard about Cloverfield until last summer, and I heard about this movie a while before that.
