Dec 7 2007'The Happening' Poster Has an Expected Twist Ending

"We've Sensed It. We've Seen the Signs." Get it? It's like his old movies! Except they forgot a few. To correct the issue, mentally add the below text to the poster.

"We've Watched It Unable To Be Broken, But Likely Forgot About That.
We've Stayed In The Village, Then Walked Out Angry.
We Didn't Even Bother With Lady In The Water. Seriously, These Cars Have More People In the Seats Than That Shit Did. Hey-Ohhhh!
And How About That American Express Commercial? That Sure Isn't Winning Any Oscars. Unless They Make One For 'Most Self-Indulgent Douche.' Am I Right, People?"

I actually enjoyed Lady in the Water. As long as he keeps Jesus mumblings out of this film, it should be good.

yes, you're very right. he is totally overrated

what a doucheberry.

the village was great, signs was ok. i think this is the one where he had better "re-prove" his directorial skills. I do like looking for him ala alfred Hicthcock though
http://do1t.net

He's one of the best directors working today. People just don't like him because he's Indian.

Anyway, I'd rather be a world famous director than some unfunny retarded idiot writing for some website called "I Watch Stuff." Seriously, your parents must be sooooo proud.

I don't understand why people always assume to know the basis of strangers' opinions, simplifying their feelings to the result of racism, or ignorance, or pretension.

If this site is so retarded, then why do you come here? 'I Watch Stuff' is hardly a "serious" site - people come here to be entertained, not educated on film theory. If you don't find this funny, fine, but no need for personal attacks.

I hardly think the author of this site finds himself "better" than Shyamalan. That's like attacking someone who criticizes Bush on a blog by saying you'd rather be President of the United States than a blogger on some website. I'm not claiming political sides - I'm just saying, there will always people who support and others who disagree.

#5 = King of the Douches. Seriously dude, chill the hell out.

#5: Yeah dude, chill.

It has Mark Wahlberg in it.

:P

Punjabs can cook a good curry tho

Racism? Ha, you make me laugh. I barely pay attention to the directors of films, and I'm sure the general public don't either. If his films are being received poorly, it's because the content and/or the directing is dropping in its standards.

Racism. That's a good one! It seems to be more of a case of notlikingshittyfilmsism.

5. Night, your ugly parents must be sooooooo proud that u are posting on this stupid unfunny site. Douchebag

It looks like everyone ran out of gas. But I bet there's a twist of some kind.

People don't dislike M. Night because he's Indian, they dislike him because his movies are boring, pretentious, and self indulgent, like a college student who's watched too much bergman's senior project. M. Night aspires to be something great (as shown by his nod to hitchcock by cameoing in his own films), but lacks the vision to do it, as evidenced by him reusing the hack "twist" in every single one of his films. His greatest failure, Lady In The Water, grated on audiences because he gave himself the role of "the writer who was also god, the savior" who would save the world with his art. Yeah, hubris much? He's decent but he takes himself too seriously, but at least he'll always have the Sixth Sense.

One of my favorite directors. I'm looking forward to it.

The referencing of the previous movies: I'm sure it's some marketing department malarkey and not M. Night's.

What a tweest!

They saw the signs? WTF? Was the signs "no utilities for 200miles". Where the hell is that anyways that people drive that suff. Half those cars I haven't seen since the early 90's.

I liked The Village and Lady In the Water >_> Signs completely SUCKED though.

Despite the mild pretension (and come on, what director isn't pretentious? It's a requirement!) I usually enjoy his movies, and I'm looking forward to this one.

I mean, what the hell else are you going to watch? Sex and the City? Juno?

Actually, the person who linked to Spymac is the real "doucheberry."
Mark Knight (His real name...sorta) is one pretentious turd. Read the book about making Lady. None of the grownups could tell this brat he was off his nut. He's like what Kathy Griffin whispers about her "friend" Oprah."
"He thinks he's JESUS."

I just read the script review of this movie, and it sounds RETARDED.

Hey win lose or draw you can count on M. Knight to be M. Knight.

You want to piss and moan? Wait until he reinvents himself as Judd Apatow meets Michael Bay.

@ #5:
People don't dislike Shyamalan because he's Indian, they dislike him because he started to buy into his own hype and his last two or three movies (I hated Signs, along with The Village and Lady in the Water) were incredibly self-indulgent AND terrible, just like people dislike you not because you're a vacuous idiot with nothing relevant to say, but because you say them anyway.
