Dec 10 2007'Semi-Pro' Trailer Shows There is No Sport Will Ferrell Won't Have Funny Hair For
Yes, it's another goofy sports movie with Will Ferrell. I'm not sure if they throw a dart at a board of sporting events or just let him loose in an MC Sporting Goods until someone laughs, but this time they've gone with basketball. However, realizing that's not inherently wacky enough, it's semi-pro basketball in the '70s, and they somehow worked in wrestling a bear.
Like ex-sex, this looks to be enjoyable only in that it's safe and familiar, but will ultimately leave you sad that you fell for it yet again.

I think Ferrell has about one minute left from his fifteen.

He still has a chance to parry the impending has-been-ness by producing either kids movies or cartoons. The real bummer is that he may have buffaloe'd legendary character actor John C.Reilly from his inevitable oscar ala Phillip Seymour into being his Rob Schneider bitch. Walk Hard is his [Reilly] Douce Biggalow.

Love Will Ferrell! Though I didn't even TRY to watch blades of glory. It just looked so stupid. However, this looks like it'll more than make up for it.
I get that it's "cool" to hate on popular things, but no one with a sense of humor could HATE that trailer.

Blade of Glory was funny, but forgettable. This looks watchable, funny and also forgettable. His last bulletproof movie was Talledega Nights.

Ferrel playing an obnoxious, needy man-child? Good to see him change things up.

For me, "Anchorman" is his best movie. "Stranger than fiction" was also a surprise for me. Adam Sandler seems to do pretty well making the same type movies over again. I tend to like Ferrell's movies more and think he knows what his strengths are as a comic actor.

Yes, Ferrel's strengths are yelling really loud and stripping down to his underwear, which, I'll tell ya, never gets old. Oh wait, they do get old and that occured at about his second season of SNL.
