Say what you will about the crime in Gotham City, it's still the only fictional metropolis with a 15-lane-wide stretch of downtown street--a perfect locale for flamboyant brooding.

And: there's another poster under the cut. Thanks to Wendy for pointing it out.

Plus: The Dark Knight trailer looks like it will debut online Sunday, here.

New Joker Posters for The Dark Knight! [ComingSoon]

"Flamboyant brooding" is now my favorite expression.

It's nice in the second poster that the guy focused on his reflection and not the actual poster.

If I had to make a prediction based solely on the sheer volume of advertising, I'd say this will fucking suck.

Actually that's a stylized (and widened) LaSalle street in Chicago. He's basically standing at Jackson and LaSalle.

I saw the trailer when I went to I am Legend today...doesn't look quite as impressive as the first, but Heath Ledger does seem pretty convincing. I think the plot will make or break the movie.

I think Chris Nolan does great work. he has never really done something that I didn't like and Hes also very tight on what he wants to include in his batman trilogy. No boy wonders, no fucking glam rock makeup like the forever and batman and robin. None of that bullshit. He in my opinion is the best person thats taken a crack at it. Burton did a great job and I love his 2 films. But I just think nolan has the right Idea on everything hes done with his stories. And even if his films did suck. They would be like god showing you his dick and cutting you off a piece to take home to gain riches compared to the last 2 non nolan movies.

Ugh, these "psycho" performances [Gary Oldman in The Professional, Javier Garcia Bernal Del Toro De Flavorofthemonthio Bardem in No Country for Old Men, and, based on the trailer, Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight] have GOT to go. I loved how plausible Batman Begins seemed, it looks like this will throw most of that away.

Right, HRH . . . nothing is more plausible then a guy dressed like a Giant Bat

to #7:

the real Joker from the graphic novels is a psychopath terrorist killer. Nicholson's joker was too "funny".

Looks like Nolan got it right.

The new trailer is on Youtube. I hope someone uploads the IMAX 6 minute opening scene soon.

Well personally...I have never ever been so excited and obsessed over a movie. I love the Joker and I think Heath Ledger is nailing the version of the Joker I have always wanted, psychopath absolutely insane.

His make up is great, its like, if you're a crazy person, do you think you would care or could apply make up well? He just smears it on all messed up and doesn't care cause all he does care about is looking like a clown

Nolan is kicking ass with this movie and I cannot wait to see it

Wouldn't you rather the IMAX experience ?

If so, follow me.

Give my name a click. You'll be glad you did.

That which does not kill you only makes you stranger.

I'm just glad he's wearing a suit. Not like the rags he wore on the new cartoon.

"these "psycho" performances [Gary Oldman in The Professional, Javier Garcia Bernal Del Toro De Flavorofthemonthio Bardem in No Country for Old Men..."
You are a fucking IDIOT. Really. Since when in movies have there not been psychos? I'm guessing you're not an Anthony Perkins fan. I can picture you watching the news. "these 'psycho' killers [Andrea Yates, OJ Simpson, Jack the Ripper] are SO old news. they need to have news about My Little Ponies and GET OVER BRUTAL MURDERS ALREADY!"

there's a proper trailer (not a goddamn cellphone camera) and a couple different joker posters on worstpreviews.com. fyi.

The trailer has been released!! atasteforthetheatrical.com! Go check it out!

Next, to be officially released: the IMAX prologue.

Maybe the whole movie will be released month by month.

saw the first 6 minuites. gotta say, I'm seriously excited about this one.

Here is one I found, It's screen capped.

I heard this news earlier at another place. I believe so many people had read this, because I once a forum at pubspa.com discussing it.

This is very interesting.............

heath ledger is not the first person i would have thought of as the joker, but it could be interesting.

Either the perspective is a bit off in this picture, or the Joker is 100 feet tall.

#8 any moron can throw on a costume. But it'd take a tad bit more explanation for someone to appear like the Joker. Can't he at least do his hair? Lots of insane people do their hair.

Totally digging the second poster. It kind of bothers me that they retconned Joker's origin for the movie though. Guess its to make it seem more plausible, but I'm still rather used to the comic and cartoon versions of Joker.

Oooooh ... maybe Prince (or the Artist) will do another "Batdance" song ...

His face looks far too much 'Insane clown posse' for my liking.
