Dec 26 2007'First Sunday' Music-less Trailer Makes For Wonderful Discomfort
Normally I wouldn't recommend this just-what-you-think-it-is Ice Cube/Tracy Morgan comedy (unless you think it's another chapter in the Friday series, which it's surprisingly not) except to reassure your lack of faith in humanity, but something very magical has happened. In a Christmas miracle, the wrong version of the First Sunday trailer has been uploaded to the Apple site, and it lacks any musical soundtrack. A typical dumb comedy has now been made seriously uncomfortable, accentuating the awkward cuts and making the superfluous cartoon sound effects sound even more like the desperate cries of a pleading infant. Hurry and watch this beautiful mistake before it's corrected.
As a bonus, some posters in the Something Awful forums have added their own soundtracks, which are either hilariously mismatched or sadly appropriate in their record screeches.

Wow, that is terrible without the background music. Though I'm not sure how much the music would have helped. Nice find.

I always wonder how Tracy Morgan gets work, too. He's the only reason I never watched 30 Rock. I watched the first episode but couldn't get past his repulsive, flat, unfunny presence.

You should watch 30 Rock and see that Tracy's character is supposed to be off-putting. He's a spoof on Martin Lawrence in his crazy days.
Anyway, my honest opinion is they're marketing this wrong. It's not a stupid comedy about two retards robbing a church - -
It's a stupid comedy about two retards who set out to rob a church only to find out someone else has robbed it first. Now they must camp out in the church until the real theif is revealed.
It's like an Agatha Christie mystery. Only stupid.
Anyway, that's how i would've cut this trailer.

That movie is so bad I know Cuba Gooding jr. has to have at least a cameo.
That was really unconfortable without the music. I now see that my misdeads need a whacky soundtrack, that would make them less offensive and I'd probably would get in less trouble.
It's amazing the power of music, the appropriate music make robbing a church less vile, maybe even okay.
