Nov 27 2007New 'Indiana Jones' Shots Reveal Inner Turmoil

As I've said with the previous shots of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones that have surfaced over the last few months, the guy looks pretty good for his age, and there is something undeniably exciting about seeing him back in uniform.

But is anyone else picking up on that subtle look of desperation? It's a muted cry, quieted beneath the weathered skin and intentional stubble, but I believe it's saying "I'm getting pretty old, and maybe I shouldn't be doing this anymore."

You can hear the same quiet plea if you turn up the sound on any recent video of the Rolling Stones or The Who dancing their withered frames around a sold out arena. Go about halfway through "My Generation" and you'll notice Roger Daltry, barely recognizable through the pancake makeup and Gap outfit, as he comes to the crushing reality that much of his generation is dead, at least in rebellious spirit.

Is anyone else seeing this? Maybe it's just the high-waisted pants talking.

One more shot (includes Greaser Shia!) under the cut.

oohhh I ain't sure if that was sarcasm but, I had this exact same thought watching the right picture...This guy's face doesn't look like Indy...He looks like a sad and pale imitation...a tired Harrisson...sorta like Patrick Stewart in the last Star Trek feature.

Everytime i see a comment with a link attached my eyes bleed.

A tear rolls down Harrison's cheek as he realizes he has to do dialogue with the newest 'actor of the month'. He'll try not to think about how he'll have to say things like "for shizzle" and "that was dope" to appeal to teenage girls and their eminem-wannabe boyfriends. He'll try not to notice when scenes are cut short to make room for extended close-ups of Shia's face. And then he'll wipe away that tear that rolled down his face, because the thick layer of man-makeup that is hiding his wrinkles has begun to smear.

Are they going to pass the torch to Shia? Maybe they could pass it to Bolo Yeung (the guy who was 50 when he potrayed the villian in Bloodsport).

He's 68 in this clip and his pants aren't pulled up especially high. Let the red video line fill up, then start watching around the 3 minute mark until it says "Bolo Yeung":
