What crap! What's this things super power? The ability to stay out of focus? The design of this creature, a slow, lumbering thing lurching between skyscrapers is so tired and clicheed. I could have conceived a more original monster with crayons when I was five. Wait, I did. It was gothy, depressed and had cutting shears for hands. Tim Burton owes me money.

Looks mighty Cthulhu-ish to me, which is much better than a lion and infinitely better than a "Voltron" movie.

You guys are completely missing the point of the movie, its not about the monster, its about a monster attack in the point of view of ordinary civilians.

looks to me to be some sort of giant gargoyle-like monster. from the way its going across the screen makes me believe it has four legs instead of just walking on two. from the way the body rises up in the upper portion, it could possibly have wing-like limb.
from this scene, it looks like it either is trying to climb on top of the buildings or its in some sort of diving / falling motion from an attack.
time will only tell, but i am very pumped to see this movie.

j.j. abrams the director said its a alien creature and its never been seen before in movies. the movie is about the day before the last day on earth. an alien monster destroys mankind i guess

awesome. im glad i did this little bit of lazy research. i am now officially bored with the movie and have decided that its not worth the 8 dollars to find out if im gonna be disappointed that i wont get to see the monster, or that i will be disappointed in what the monster looks like if i do see him, or that i'll be very disappointed. in what the monster looks like if i do see him. thankyou jj abrams. you had me at "hello" but you lost me when you refused to make eye contact after all these months and still say little more than "hello". A great marketing scheme, but ultimately the film's means to self destruction. Just too much arrogance in what they were offering and too little consideration for the publics lack of patience and tendency to weigh their options with the eight dollars they have in hand. 16 if you're on a date.

I head its a big ass Whale monster...it looks like sin from Final fantasy and just like sin being around it gives of a toxin which is why the people were sick. Its not a remake of The Host because there are already plans for that later in 2008. and its most definetly not another Godzilla remake do to the fact that JJ Abrams made this movie because he saw a bunch of Godzilla toys in a toy store and wanted to make something new and better then Godzilla and King Kong.

The reason why some people's eyes are bleeding is doubtlessly because of severe eyestrain from trying to figure out what the monster looks like by watching that ten second clip over and over again.
