Oct 31 2007'Wanted' Trailer Evokes Sleek Sunglasses, Trenchcoats
Wanted seems to be trying to create a new genre of "movie about a cubical worker who finds out he's one of the few able to use special powers with bullet-time effects, then becomes an awesome shoot-em-up expert with a hot lady counterpart and a wise black master, but isn't The Matrix."
If so, they've really nailed it.

Well, it was a comic, though I'm sure it was influenced by The Matrix.

Well, this just proves to me that Angeline Jolie is now officially hot. And sexy.

McAvoy looks like Ted Raimi in that picture. As for the trailer, it looks decent, and it seems like they keep SOME elements of the comic, but it's just not going to be the same with the "Supervillains who secretly rule the world" angle changed to Competing Assassins.

He looks like Jackie Chan in the still.
And the movie is going to be a shit sandwich.

Um, I know I'm, like, seven hours late to this post, but fuck, man, you misspelled 'cubicle'. That nobody else pointed it out in the last seven hours doesn't make it OK. Cubical. It doesn't even look right. I mean ... what? Oh, right, agreeing with making fun of the entertainment industry thesuperficial.com-style. I forgot the rules. Top-notch snark, killer.

wow, Aaron. You're just now realizing Angelina is now officially hot and sexy? Didn't you see "Original Sin"?

It was official after Gia. He's like an Angelina virgin...

Why is Jolie in this movie and not Hallie Berry, who was obviously the inspiration for the look of the character in the book

Because she's pregnant and looks to be a physical role.

Fantastic...one of the best comics I've read is turned into a complete shitfest of a clusterfuck barely resembling anything from the source material other than names and gunplay.
Apparently this is our face while Hollywood fucks us in the ass. Sorry Wesley.

its too bad about halle berry not being in this, but im more confused at the character in this movie being a hero, and the fraternity seeming like good guys. i mean, my favourite part of wanted was when he kills all the cops and breaks down because he didnt rape the survivor.

It is official.
Morgan Freeman is now the Donald Pleasence of cinema. I still remember watching MST3K's "Puma Man" where Donald farmed out a role in it as the main bad guy. Morgan knows he's a bit player in most of his movies now so he can himself farm out his roles for a quick paycheck.. and good for him to finally realize that.
Like Mr. "Gandhi the Oscar dude" Kingsley whoring himself out in Species and BloodRayne, they both know where the bucks comes from to butter their bread.
And in regards to the limp flick that is called "wanted"... It can stay wanted till it shows up on netflix for a bored evening of lethargic viewing and bonus mocking of yet another Emo-boy trying to look like a stud instead of a dud. Puffer fish Jolie never had a meatier role here...(lie)
