Oct 24 2007Superman Might Be British
Will a Brit fill the boots of America's Greatest Hero (besides G.I. Joe, Oprah, and The Greatest American Hero)?
That's exactly the rumor coming from Dark Horizons, where they're reporting British actor Rupert Evans, whose biggest claim to fame is looking vaguely like Josh Hartnett if you squint (and being the prick in Hellboy), has nabbed the role of Superman in the Justice League movie.
Is it Kosher for Superman to be played by a British actor? How about someone who looks like such a twat? Discuss.

What, was Dustin Diamond busy? Jesus Christ. When did it become okay not to have people who look like Chris Reeve play Superman? I thought we all agreed: no nerds.

How many Superheroes are there? It may be necessary to use actors from other countries if there aren't enough desparate American actors. If they need a Green Lantern, they might look in Chernobyl.

Nobody is going to watch this. This movie will probably put the 10 year run of comic book movies to an end. Didn't they already do this movie? I think it was called "last season's Smallville". I didn't watch that either.

News about this movie are worst every day. Why are all the rumored cast so young? Let´s go Young... ZAC EFRON as the Batman!!! Warner Bros should do SUPERMAN RETURNS 2 instead this. I´m a big DC fan but "Justice League" has a 99,9% possibilities of be a real shit...

....I thought I would never say this...but I hope this movie tproject tanks and never gets made, I mean....it was goddamn torture to find a dude that looked like Superman, they found one and now they replace him...which is not that smart really, I just hope they don't replace Christian Bale with that douche from the OC

Why are American shows about American characters being played by foriengers? House is an Aussie, Jamie Sommers (Bionic Woman) is English, and now Clark friggin Kent? I thought he was about truth, justice, and the American way? Either that or our acting schools bite.

Errm...they're actors, as in they pretend to be the people in the film, so what has the nationality of the actor got to do with the character he is playing? if he can act then what's the problem? here in the uk we've had to put up with hundreds of movies with americans who think they can do a "british accent"
(which doesn't exist by the way, most british people aren't from london) so why not have a brit play superman? you've got a brit playing batman and i haven't heard any complaints.

Nice comeback my fellow Brit. It really bugs me when American actors try to sound British, but the only British people thet actually manage to sound like is the Royal Family. Christian Bale is a brilliant Batman, possibly the best... Andhe's British... Going to moan about that too?
