Oct 9 2007'Bee Movie' Poster
OK, what does "Honey Just Got Funny" mean? How is the honey funny? The bees just make it. It's like making a movie about construction workers and saying, "Buildings and Other Large Structures Just Got Funny!"
Furthermore, why is he on a tennis ball? As if that's some universally understood problem for bees. "Ha! Hit by a tennis ball! That would happen if you were bee-sized!"

Plus, it's not as if this movie hasn't been 9 years in the making--oh wait, it has. I doubt there's any hilarity in something that's taken that long to produce---about eff'in BEES no less.

This commentary would have been funny if the author knew that Honey is basically puke, not the structures they build around it.

The slogan "honey just got funny" presupposes that honey does not inherently have any comic value (although that could be debatable since honey is essentially a bee's waste product and we find it to be delicious). Nonetheless, what the slogan is saying is that honey is not normally funny, but now it will be because the movie is so funny. It's exactly the idea as if there were a movie about construction workers coming out starring Will Ferrell and the slogan was "buildings just got funny". It needs to be pointed out because its not a topic one would think is ripe with laughs.
As for the tennis ball--that's clearly a scene from a the movie. Yes its a bit confusing but I think there is a convention that movie posters often show a freeze frame from the movie.

Hey "K", are you implying that a movie about BEES is stupid, simply because they are bees? Can't we say any film about "such and such" is stupid? It's what lies within the execution -- that being what the filmmakers do with characters and story. What do you have against bees? Do you hate Black people and mammaries, too? Probably. Also, what does the length of time it takes to make a film determine how good it is? It's also animation... that's like saying "Oh, this skyscraper took nine years to build..." Yeah, it's a skyscraper. Shit takes time. I would understand your argument had the release date been pushed and pushed. Have a fun day, bee bigot.

I love it!
I am so excited for it - The writers have written many funny Seinfeld episodes. Now they're going to make honey funny.
