Based on the graphic novel of the same name, 30 Days of Night tells the story of a group of vampires terrorizing a town in Alaska that experiences 30 consecutive days of darkness. Here are the three newest posters for the film, which show that just because you're recruiting an army of the undead doesn't mean you can't add a little Broadway to the occasion. Jazz hands!

Two more under the cut.

lmao @ jazz hands!

sounds like a cool movie, or at least cool premise. too bad about the shitty posters.

These posters are very good. Very effective in our «jungle» of colors and busy stuff.

I like the posters a lot as well.

Never heard of the movie though - it could go either way with that premise...

*jazz hands jazz hands*

nice.

yeah should be a decent movie

Looks like ‘based on graphic novel’ will now translate as ‘advertised like 300’

the posters are very close to the "graphic novel" (comic books!) covers. The comics are pretty good, if you like dark, violent vampire stories. I'm not sure if Josh Hartnett is the right one to cast though.

Actually, I'm sure Josh Hartnett is not the right one to cast.

The artwork looks like it was trying to recreate the feel of Stephen Gammell's illustrations, which some of you may remember as the source of all your nightmares. Despite the similarity, these posters don't even come close to being as frightening as this book cover:

While I don't know if I'll see this movie, it has given me an idea for an even scarier movie: a 2-hour slideshow of Stephen Gammell illustrations set to the sound of creaking boards and, occasionally, a man laughing somewhere in the distance.

I was disappointed by "Return to Barrow" - I got past the shitty art, but the end of the book was rushed. I don't know, maybe it only makes sense if you've already read the first two books.
