Sep 12 2007Southland Tales Poster is Busy, Patriotic?
The poster to Donnie Darko writer/director Richard Kelly's sophomore effort, Southland Tales, is really cluttered with a bunch of crap, and might be meant to look sort of like the American flag, but only vaguely does. But with over two years of delays for re-editing and the entire cast of The Rundown at your disposal, how could you go wrong?*
*By making a movie so bad it needed two years to be re-edited. Also, using The Rundown as a casting mold was probably a bad idea. Involving Night Court's John Larroquette probably isn't helping either.

Hey the rundown was an entertaining movie..... Now I imagine this isn't going to be a comedy so maybe it wasn't a great casting decision but lets wait and see.... At least it has Buffy.
Hey, maybe if its a monster movie Rock can reprise his roll from doom and we can have the Rock and buffy take on the monster know as Sean William Scott!! YAY!!

Anone notice how the Elliot / Frost campaign in the second row looks a lot like the Bush / Cheney sign from 2004? No wonder they had to recut it. You don't one bad project associated with another.

The poster - from what i can tell - is suppose to look like an upside-down american flag which is the sign for distress (i.e. a nation in distress). i dont know what the movie is about but the movie poster may be playing off of that.

I agree with you until you got to the Larroquette comment, because...
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mandy Moore, Justin Timberlake, Kevin "One-note" Smith, Will Sasso, Cheri O'Teri
...are like a thousand notches lower on the acting food chain.

I agree with Lube - The Rundown was quite entertaining for what it was.
It might not have the most stellar plot in the world but the actors fit their roles and the pacing was good.
As for this - I have no idea.

I'm assuming that "The Rock" is now being referred to as Dwayne because he's become a serious actor daahling?

Why is every actors mouth slightly open?...must be for dramatic effect.
...this movie is guaranteed to suck.
