Sep 10 2007Iron Man Trailer Uses Appropriate Music
Surprisingly, this Iron Man trailer actually left me wanting to see this movie about a superhero I couldn't care less about. Less surprisingly, the soundtrack relies heavily on the song Iron Man solely because of the similarity in title. Be thankful Black Sabbath never had a track called Schindler's List.

Black Sabbath - Iron Man, the theme song to Braveheart?
Yes. Yes it was.

Some of it, like the interview portion reminds me of the Fantastic 4. However the flying scene looks great and with the addition of much better actors, this one looks good.
I'm not expecting Batman Begins, but X-Men 2 quality would be nice.

Will they use him to get Bin Laden?

Why the hell can't these movie studios put these things in a place that people can actually watch them? I haven't been able to watch trailers on Apple's site since, oh, I stopped using a Mac. And yes, I have the latest and greatest (sic) Quicktime installed.
Why couldn't they just leave the YouTube up where the other 40% of the world who can't watch an Apple trailer could see it...

What the hell with Robert Downey Jr.? I had given up on him and his wake-up-in-my-neighbor's-bed druggie ways and then he goes and redeems himself in "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang," "A Scanner Darkly," "Zodiac" and now making me actually want to see "Iron Man." How am I supposed to hate the Hollywood machine if this kind of redemption is possible, huh? Shees!
