Sep 28 2007AM Poster Post - 'Wall-E' Teaser Poster

I can't help but notice that the poster for Wall-E looks quite a bit like the poster to Short Circuit. Is this Pixar paying homage to their robot movie predecessor, or is this arrangement the only way to properly show the true majesty of a cute, goofy robot?

And sorry for the lack of posts today and yesterday. Time-Warner and I battling, but they seem to be winning so far. Hopefully it will be sorted out by Monday.

Hey man, you're battling over what?

Vic

We're working out the details on whether they'll provide me with reliable internet service or if I'll just go fuck myself.

In fairness, it might not be their fault.

Ah, that's a freaking hassle. Sorry to hear your having trouble.

Vic

For some reason it annoys me that they didn't come up with a different robot. To be that blatantly similar and not call it short circuit is the first time I have felt Pixar is unoriginal and I love them.

Dude, nobody reads this shit site anyway, so don't even worry about it.

Woah it really sucks when the internet doesn't work. Since I work from my computer too, when the internet is broken I wear my PJ s 24/7 and punk rope at the local YMCA where my mom lives.

Well, Cars was a rip off of Doc Hollwood, maybe this time they're going after Short Circuit. I love Pixar, but after Nemo I've been unimpressed.

Pixar.

Meh.

I have one word for you fuckin haters: Ratatouille.

Ryan smith, nice one :). It may be a Short Circuit rip-off, but who cares.

This is a kids movie. Its a Fictional little robot that children and adults will enjoy waching. Even tho he might remind you of short circuit , that doesn't mean the movie is a rip off! If any one should be complaining it should be the makers of Johnny 5.
