Aug 23 2007Justice League to be Creepy CGI?
IESB is reporting that the planned Justice League movie will be done as a CGI motion-capture film, giving it the same creeppy, too-realistic-but-not-quite look as this Beowulf trailer. Though it will take longer, this will help to avoid conflict with the current Batman/Superman franchises, give the director more options in actor choice, and give the movie a larger scale without a larger cost. Plus, adding CGI favorite Shrek to the line-up will appear now seamless--and HILARIOUS!

..or it's all about animating it well regardless of how it was done. no matter what technique is employed, if the CGI, art direction, cinematography all suck... then EVEN IF THEY ANIMATED IT LIKE PIXAR...then the movie will still suck.
but hey, far be it for me to use an 8 year old's logic.
If it's like Beowulf, it'll be fine.

Either that or the thought of a well muscled actress playing Wonder Woman was either too intimidating or impossible to cast.

I am sure the Beowulf team will make this movie look awesome,...Just like they did on Beowulf, Monster House, and Polar.
And for you num-nuts trying to compare it to Pixar...Grow up, you can't compare it. It's a different style. If you don't like it, then don't watch, but don't bash other people's work unless you personnally can do better..

I don't need to be able to "do better" to critize something. Food critic can't cook as well as a chef, a movie critic can't pull ideas, personnel, and a production together to make a movie, however they are still qualified to judge. If I'm good enough to praise what I like, I'm good enough to boo what I don't like....... and you spelled personally wrong.

Did anybody see Spiderman, FF, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Superman Returns, etc? Got news for ya, the only difference between them and any other computer animated film was that parts of them WEREN"T animated. And usually they are the boring parts. I actually think this is a good idea for the JLA. Marvel's heroes are all (basically) regular guys with powers. DC's are more archetypal and should be larger than life. And anyway, it sure beats the crap animation Marvel has been doing with the Avengers. I wish it had been CGI.
