Like every other rock 'n roll suicide/drug overdose, it's been decided Joy Division's Ian Curtis needs a movie about his life. More surprisingly, this one actually looks good enough that it may have been worth Ian Curtis dying if that's what it took to get the movie made. I mean, we still have New Order, right?

didn't 24 Hour Party People give enough ink (er...celluloid) to Ian Curtis? Those who long to have Ian back can just go listen to Interpol and the 50 Interpol clone bands from New York if they miss him so bad. :p

24 hour party people was over stylized garbage though. lets spend 4 minutes on new order who in the long run were a much more popular band than joy division in favor of a third act chronicling a band no one had ever heard of. the happy mondays? for a minute i was pretty sure they made the band up because new order didnt want to be in a bad movie.
and man as someone who lives very near to new york city, i'm so tired of stupid hipsters and their stupid "post punk" bands.
