Furthering efforts to provide a regular stream of useless "clues," the 1-18-08 site has been updated to play a Godzilla-esque roar if you wait for six minutes, or you can just play it in the clip above. With all the hype building for what this creature is, there are going to be some let down fans if the monster ends up being Jane Fonda in the hilarious new Monster-in-Law 2.

I'll only honestly be excited if it is Godzilla, however, I've read that Paramount does not have the rights to Godzilla.

I don't understand the idea of this viral marketing campaign if the "monster" supposed to be something original. The whole point of things like this is to have fans piece clues together to figure out a validation for something we already know.

this movie cant live up to the hype.

If you click on the picture and shake the mouse up and down, the photo flips over some have writing, some dont.

It doesn't appear to be anything important so far.

2 of the photos have writing on the back the rest are all blank, they are the photos taken at 12:01 and 12:04

>>>Revolves around a monster attack in New York as told from the point of view of a small group of people.

1-18-08 is about an alien that wipes out all of New York City…The footage is taken the day before everyone dies. A bunch of kids come to Coney Island with a video camera. The movie is a flashback to that day."

Hey! That's comedian TJ Miller in the centre! Good to see him get some face time in this film.

Man, I'm sick of this movie already. This marketing campaign is hyping it waaayyy too much and JJ Abrams doesn't have the skills to match it. He can make entertaining stuff, but nothing that I'd cross the street to watch.

I'm thinking it's not even going to be another monster/end of the world/total destruction movie. The groaning isn't the monster. It's me because I'm tired of the same old thing always coming into theatres.
BUT... knowing JJ Abrams' history, there's a chance it'll be something new and worth the time.

Oops... I meant to say "I'm thinking it's going to be..."
...not sure how "not even" got in there.

Given the identity of the "monster" we finally saw on LOST after the first season's teasing, I don't hold out a lot of hope for this one.

Maybe if these fuckhead directors like J. J. Abrams (Lost) and M. Night Sha-Na-Na (Signs) would listen to the advice of Alfred Hitchcock these movies would be worth it: you do not show the fucking monster! The monster people build up in their minds is far scarier than anything they could ever conjure on screen. Unless it's a half human / half spider made of bones -- that is some scary shit!
