Anjelica Huston on the set of 'Gremlins'
Anjelica Huston is set to play Sam Rockwell's mother in the upcoming movie adaptation of the Chuck "Holy Shit Do I Ever Need a Pen Name" Palahniuk's (Fight Club) novel Choke. Besides Rockwell, she joins Kelly MacDonald, Brad Henke, and newcomer director Clark Gregg, who also wrote the script.
Aside from the fact that I've been waiting for this movie for a long time, it reminds me of a little story - so if you'll allow me a little autobiographical license...
So I'm sitting in the mostly full lecture hall of some jackoff, elective-level art appreciation class in college, next to a friend of mine who generally takes great pleasure in making other people uncomfortable (which is probably why I enjoy his company in the first place). The instructor is standing next to a projector explaining his latest slide, some modern art masterpiece that looks like the aftermath of a chimp throwing colored turds at the canvas. The instructor asks,"Tell me, you guys, what does this piece remind you of?"
My friend nudges me and raises his hand. At this point, I'm already giddy with anticipation, and yet, a little scared. The instructor points to him, prompting him to speak and he deadpans, in his most sincere, matter-of-fact voice, "I think it reminds me of me, strangling a little girl."
He was the only person I know who got sent to the school psychologist in college, and according to him, the only person in the school's psychology department who thought that line was funny.

I almost woke up my roommate laughing so hard at that. C'mon, at least one other guy in the lecture hall had to think that was funny. Nobody likes dead baby jokes or something?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I just howled w/laughter @ werk....
Reminds ME of a story:
An guy I know was taking a Principles of Education class and the prof was lecturing them on taking care of the textbook, as they'd be using the same one for all 4 years of the education program.
"Treat this book like it's your baby," he said.
My friend replied, "Wait, you want me to drown it in a hotel toilet?"
He was kicked out of the class.
