Aw shit, someone bet Sam Jackson a dollar again

The headline says it all, folks. According to AICN, Sam Jackson is playing Nick Fury. The script must be really good for them to get Sam Jackson. Either that or they promised his agent "a real powerhouse fruitbasket."

if Sam Jackson signed on to play Anna Nicole i'd be the first in line to see it.

Ever since Marvel re-invented the Nick Fury character for their Ultimate line of comics, it's been obvious that they wanted Sam Jackson to play him in a movie. It's been happening a lot lately - new characters being introduced or re-envisioned to look like current movie stars (also kind of annoying). Almost every picture of Nick Fury in the Ultimate line of comics looks like it was drawn from a reference photo.

Kurt Russell (aka Snake Pliskin) would be a fine rendition of the original Fury.

Sean Bean back in Boromir garb would play an excellent Thor I think.

Kurt Russell and Sean Bean are fine choices. Sam Jackson isn't.

Sam Jackon is the ONLY person to be able to play Nick Fury in the marvel ultimate universe - reinvent Nick Fury as a bald black guy who looks exactly Like Sam Jackson - and he be ok with it...cool

With the limited amount of black superheros in any comic book universe I think this is one that works - unlike the Kingpin in Daredevil.

Having Nick Fury as just another old white dude with an eye patch is too old now.
They did Nick Fury as Snake Plisken
They did Nick Fury in True Lies
They did Nick Fury as the Hoff

If you are going to make an Avengers Movie or better yet the Ultmates version then it HAS to be Sam Jackson.
If you know the comics then you know it makes sense.

Nuff Said

couldnt be worse than the david hasselhoff nick fury movie

they needed more black people in the marvel universe so if you can't get denzel, morgan, or jamie get samuel l. jackson.

and KARL URBAN would make a better thor than sean bean
