Jun 7 2007I Am Legend Poster

In I Am Legend, Will Smith plays the last man in New York City after a virus turns everyone into vampires, and here's its poster. I have two issues with it:
1. It reminds me too much of The Condemned poster, which was already a pretty bad poster.
2. It reminds me too much of Will Smith's involvement in a capacity higher than as a fresh prince, which is as much as I'll tolerate of him.
Your thoughts?

You gotta be kidding me. I freaking love that story, and while I loved the cheesy vibe of The Omega Man, I always hoped it would be remade and done proper justice. But I gotta tell you, seeing Will Smith being cast in this reeaally doesn't give me much hope.
Also: first he makes I, Robot, now I Am Legend -- what's next, Fahrenheit 451?

My thoughts:
West Philadelphia, born and raised
On the playground is where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' and relaxin' all cool
And all shootin' some B-ball outside after school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started makin' trouble in my neighborhood
I got in ONE little fight and my mom got scared!
And sent me out to live with my uncle in Bel Aire

Maybe Ol' Will had a leg up since his wife is in that metal band (which I just watched a video for-VERY cheesy, 80's feel to it and she looked like a frickin' vampire herself!!!) I totally suggest watching it for some hilarity-Wicked Wisdom is the name of the band.
He needs to keep his fingers out of the KoolAid if he doesn't know the flava, ya feel me??!!!!!

Why did I let them make this movie?

Ali was really good. Hitch undid that. We'll have to wait and see if Will Smith can save the world again by not rapping (I think I stole that line, I can't remember where from. Maybe it was Lewis Black? What happened to Lewis Black? I guess I haven't been watching the Daily Show as much as I used to. It's not that it isn't funny....maybe it's because it's depressing. It seems like every day that we get more BS from Washington. Libby is going to jail, but everyone is talking about a pardon. How can the judicial system be a real power in checks and balances if the president can overrule sentencing whenever he (or she) wants? And when you consider that most of the Republican candidates for president make Bush look like a moderate, and the Dems are mostly weaklings, it seems we're headed downkill really fast. What was I talking about?).

Well its about time!
What do I like more than Big Willy style in my movie adaptations? Two words, product placement, and since buying my new Audi with my American Express* card after I, Robot...well..lets just say that daddy needs some new medicine.
For the small few of you who think these two super geniuses coming together wont put on an action packed tear jerker, just remember what "Black Suits Comin' (Nod Ya Head)" taught us.
1. Will smith is black as hell.
2. He's trained to bust.
3. In the future everyone will wear RayBan.

Fresh Prince, don't turn around. I don't mean to alarm you, but I think a giant wall of text is following you.

It looks like the early posters from Gladiator. The ones that read "A Hero Will Rise." Same gold tint, same typeface.

Question, umm what makes this different then 28 days later,? cuz as far as i can tell some producer got drunk one night while watching 28 days later and woke up watching the fresh prince (or hiitch) and thought, Hey i have a GREAT IDEA, something you should never act on while drunk!!!

sorry i thought of a better thing to say 20 seconds after the first post "perhaps the rage virus turned them into vampires" also refering to the fact it sounds like 28 days later with vampires and a worse actor then callian murphey (i mean anyone whos seen flight plan give me an amen)

Vincient Price did this one all ready kiddies in black & white called "The last man on Earth" I adored it as a kid growing up and own it on DVD. I guess no new ideas anymore. I wonder if he is going to have a station wagon to pick-up bodies and a burning pit to dump them in, like Vinnie did? Oh, I bet I just gave away the plot line. sorry!

Just did some goggling--Price's film was the first film version of this short story , and Omega Man the Second. Price's considered by many the better.

No matter how many 'good' roles he plays...
Or 'good' movies he stars in..
he will ALWAYS be the fresh prince of bel-air to me....
and for that, I can never take him seriously.
Don't get me started on Marky Mark
