Someone named Zejr's subscription to Entertainment Weekly brings us the first look at the new Batman costume from The Dark Knight, the first of many ploys to sell nerds and children more action figures. The updated suit has a more segmented look and a separate, motorcycle helmet-style headpiece that will finally allow the caped crusader to turn his head. Here's one dude that's done with verbal negatives--it's all head shaking from here on out.

I just noticed, apparently christian bale's father never taught him how to properly clinch his fists. Doesn't he realize that his thumb is going to break when he punches?

i don't know about this. his neck is thin as hell, giving him a weak look, and the knees and boots just look stupid. Overall it doesn't look like something that brings fear to the badguys, more like a stuntman to me. I guess Joker will have the last laugh after all.

Thanks for unveiling the mystery of why previous Bat.. men? have been so stiff in the neck. That suit is damn sexy, though I think knowing Bale is beneath it helps some. I approve.

I've been complaining about the neck thing since 1989. Oh, what a wonderful world we live in, where Batman can finally turn his head.
Take that, world hunger, poverty, war, famine and disease. Now Batman can stare down on you with disdain!

i like it! it's cool, a little busy though, but overall it's a kick-butt costume. i think it's batman for the next generation (me and the other young teenagers). it rocks!
