Jun 18 20073:10 to Yuma Trailer is Pure Man Gold

The Crowes literally looked down their noses at the Bales, who were so poor that they were forced to ride large sheepdogs in lieu of horses.
I can't remember seeing a good western since, say, Unforgiven or Tombstone, which makes the 3:10 to Yuma trailer all the more promising. Plus, it's got Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, and everyone knows no one can play an American cowboy like a Brit and a Kiwi.
James Mangold is the brains behind this one, having previously directed Walk the Line, Kate & Leopold, Girl, Interrupted, Cop Land, and Identity, which I'm almost positive was based on the movie Charlie Kaufman's fictional brother wrote in Adaptation. Anyway, bottom line, the guy's last name is "Man Gold."

Wait, I thought Russell Crowe was an Aussie, not a Kiwi.

He moved to Australia when he was four, but was born in New Zealand and has some Maori ancestry. I suppose he's both, but I'm going to call him a Kiwi for the sake of brevity.

The Proposition was good, though not strictly speaking a Western

Not to sound like a complete prick, but Kiwi = New Zealander. Isn't Crowe an Aussie?
And Bale is from Wales. Does that still warrant him as British, or would he prefer Welsh?
Again, love the site, not trying to step on toes here. Just wondering.

Honey, I cracked myself up when I read your comment. Mm hmm, yummy yummy indeed, especially when they're Russell Crowe and Christian Bale on the saddles. I crave for those two studs!! This fall is gonna be dreamy, at least for me. Thud! I can't wait for this good 'ole western.
Then there'll be American Gangster on November with (again) Russell Crowe, Denzel Washington, and Sir Ridley?! Swoon!! I'll be having balls with my girlfriends. WOOHOO!!
